By God’s Grace we are coming to the end of another year. Surely each and everyone of us have experienced many new moments of life be it good or bad ,this past 1 year. Regardless, everyone is now looking forward to getting ready for a happy Christmas Season. Every child around the world is waiting for the Christmas day with excitement and expectation. Much of the reason behind this excitement can be attributed to non other than the Christmas present. When they think about Christmas the first picture that comes to their mind is about the Christmas Present, followed by Santa Clause or family gatherings and awesome food. Is this all that
there is to Christmas?. Is this the real meaning of Christmas?????
No. Never. Its far beyond that. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ who came to this world as a human to show the love of God for this lost world. At the end He showed the Love of God at the Cross bearing all our sins. When we were lost and rejected His love came & found us which is everlasting. The Bible tells, “For God So Loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)
When we celebrate Christmas, are we focusing only on our happiness?? Just take a look around your surroundings. You can find men, women and children who are starving without the minimum human need of a single meal a day or a roof above their heads. They are humans like us whose circumstances forced them to face their predicament. Then why cannot we feed them for a moment?? If we fail to do so, it shows our selfishness. Remember Jesus was born not for a particular society or
people, but for the whole humanity. So more than self happiness lets make this Christmas special for someone who is expecting a caring hand from each one of us. Let them Praise God through each one of us. Just think about the smile of a child when he gets what he need. This is the real meaning of Christmas. A heart that loves and cares for others.
May this Christmas become a turning point in your life.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
1 Timothy 4:12 NLT “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”
Your age has very little, if anything at all, to do with how effective you are as a Christian. Jesus changed the world at 33. Samuel made a difference set the standard for the way priests conduct themselves. David was a powerful leader even before he ruled his Kingdom-wherever he went, he gained support. Jeremiah 1 is an example of how he raised up a boy to shake a nation prophetically. God will use you where you are. Right now. You are never too young to be used for God’s glory via your divine purpose. Don’t let anyone stop you from pursuing all God has in store for you. Your presence on earth is meant to solve a problem on earth. The first part of life is figuring out what you’re meant to accomplish. The other part is aligning yourself with His will so you can accomplish it. Keep the faith & run the race. The lives you impact for Him may be greater than what you could ever imagine… just stay focused on Jesus. So… What are you waiting for? #WeAreWorldChangers
Psalms 119:7 NLT
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!
That ending jumped out at me this morning. How often do we get so tangled up in ourselves that we forget just how much God has done for us….and then when we remember, we send up a simple “Thanks” to Him.
True thanksgiving isn’t just verbal. True thanksgiving comes from within and is displayed and reflected through our actions. God calls us to live a holy life. Does that mean you wear buttoned up shirts to your ear and go around acting like a pilgrim? No. Does it mean you’re perfect and you’ll always get it right? Nope.
It means you surrender your will & adopt His until it becomes one with you. When you begin to live your life the way He ordained (which is always much much better than what you could come up with for your own self tbh), your level of thanksgiving begins to shift to a higher level.
Thank Him with the way you live & love the life He gave you. There is no better gift we can give to the Creator than that.
“Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6). I’ve heard this ever since I was a little girl in Sunday School. It’s always been just another scripture to me, not holding any more significance than that. This morning it returned to my spirit. In this specific scripture, Jesus clearly outlines the three keys to living my life as simply and most effectively as I can. He says He’s the way. That means whatever I want for myself will never come close to what He has in store and it’s only until I let my way go that He’ll begin to work. His way is the best way. Hands down. So follow Him. He goes on to say He’s the truth. That means He is the standard for the way in which my life is measured against. I am to look to Him for guidance and direction…. which makes it easier for me because now I don’t have to figure everything out on my own. I can simply rest in Him. Finally, He declares that He is the life. Any other route leads to death. Death isn’t always physical though. It could be the end of something, like a friendship or an idea. Having Him as my source of life ensures I always return to Him for everything. There is nothing and no one in this world that can take Him away from me. With that said, that scripture is all the clarity I need. #goodmorning
Hebrews 7:7 NLT “And without question, the person who has the power to give a blessing is greater than the one who is blessed.” Today, you woke up with breath in your lungs, safe from harm, roof over your head, and a spotless day to begin. In all the things you do with your day, make one of them a kind gesture. It could be a smile, paying for someone’s coffee, or even holding the door open for that elderly man. It usually takes very little to be a blessing to others. Do you remember the last time you received something from someone and it just filled your heart with gladness? Good! Give that feeling to someone else today and #payitforward
