Don’t Wonder, Be in Wonder By Michelle Pohl (Final Part)

His words, they REMEMBERED His words! Often times we worship the dead Jesus, we don’t remember the spirit that dwells within our heart, we see him as that picture on the wall or the story we read. We go to church because our parents made us but never expect him to transform our lives. The bible is where we gain our HOPE in times of weakness, the word is Jesus. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, John 1:1. Remember His words in seasons of doubt, aloneness and disappointment. Bible verses are promises from God!

9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But They Did Not Believe The Women, because Their Words Seemed To Them Like NONSENSE.

It seems ridiculous to believe a bible verse when our world is falling apart! This word ‘Nonsense’ means incredibly unbelievable. This tale was so unbelievable the Eleven may have asked if the ladies were feeling well, because they were literally babbling, or so it appeared. This story just had to be complete and utter nonsense. They all saw Jesus crucified! When God begins to transform our life with His Word, it’s hard to explain to someone who has not experienced it. We just know in our knower, it’s going to turn out in our best interest because Jesus is my Savior. We are suddenly able to conquer fear, instead of dwelling on things we cannot change. Our confident increases because we see how much He loves us and shame can no longer control our thoughts. All of this because we choose to believe He Has RISEN, and is Alive in our hearts!

12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, WONDERING to himself what had happened.

There is that word again, WONERING. But this time it means – to Admire – Marvel – to have Admiration. Peter had already experienced Jesus keeping His word, remember the whole “rooster crows three times” deal? As we grow in remembering our faith grows in wondering. He was in Awe of Jesus.

Do you wonder if God is working in your life or are you in wonder of how He transforms your life? It comes down to one thing, perspective. Our hope in Jesus can take the biggest trial of our life, and turn it into the biggest testimony of our LIFE! Depending on how we choose to see the situation.

You feelings as a teenager or young adult matter! This is the season of life you apply all you have learned. If you are struggling with doubt and disbelief, I challenge you to open your heart to God. Ask Him to show you in His word how special you are to Him. I promise you the bible is not just a book. Jesus was not a person, but God who came to earth in the form of man died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the 3rd day.

No more wondering, be in wonder. You are not alone.
